L'Équipe de management du SICHH

Dr. Jean-Marc Brunner, CEO

Jean-Marc is a co-founder of SICHH, bringing over 10 years of experience in research within Switzerland's top uiniversities. Head of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Fribourg from 2010, he is at the heart of academical innovation and maintains excellent contacts with all industrial actors.

Graduated in biology from UNIL and EPFL, Jean-Marc obtained his PhD in 2009 where his research focused on the pathologies in the central nervous system induced by canine distemper virus. He is fluent in English, Italian and French, and conversant in German.

He also founded an IT company providing services to private customers and SME's.

Beside his academical carreer, Jean-Marc was also a National Swiss Hockey League Professionnal within HC La Chaux-de-Fonds and HC Lausanne (LNB), winning one national title with the former team.

Anaïs Dufaux, Accounting / Human Resources

Mme Anaïs Dufaux a travaillé pour le SICHH en tant que responsable de la comptabilité en mandat externe entre juillet 2014 et avril 2015. Puis c’est à partir du 1er mai 2015 qu’elle a rejoint le team en tant que Accounting and Human Resources Manager. Au bénéfice d’une solide expérience de plus de 10 ans dans la gestion comptable, Mme Dufaux a été responsable pendant 5 ans de la gestion administrative d’une PME, puis collaboratrice au sein du service financier de l’Université de Fribourg durant 7 ans, période pendant laquelle elle a été responsable de la gestion comptable des fonds des Programmes de recherche de l’Union européenne, ainsi que des fonds de la Faculté des Sciences. Dans ses fonctions au SICHH, elle est responsable de la tenue de la comptabilité et de la gestion administrative du centre. Elle est également responsable des ressources humaines et assure la mise en place de la politique RH de l’entreprise en termes de gestion et de développement des effectifs. En septembre 2016, Madame Dufaux a terminé sa formation en gestion des ressources humaines avec succès. Elle parle couramment français, anglais et italien.

Claudia Romanens, PR & Events Manager

Claudia a rejoint le SICHH en mars 2016 en tant qu’Events & Public Relations Manager. Avec plus de 6 ans d’expérience dans la communication, du développement de stratégies en passant par les médias sociaux et la gestion d’évènements, Claudia a dirigé des projets de portée internationale pour le secteur privé à Genève.

Diplômée de l’Université de Fribourg en Sciences de la Communication et des Médias,  elle parle couramment français, anglais et allemand.

Dans son temps libre, Claudia aime essayer de nouvelles recettes de cuisine et jouer de la guitare acoustique.

Dr. Michel Kropf, Business Development

Michel joined SICHH in 2014 and brings over 6 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, managing either the business development & licensing activities or the intellectual property portfolio within a biopharmaceutical company.

Michel holds a PhD in Life Sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of technology of Lausanne (EPFL) and a M.Sc. in Molecular Biology from the University of Lausanne. In addition to his scientific education, Michel also graduated with a MBA from Hult International Business School in London and Shanghai. He is fluent in French and English and is conversant in German.

Xuân Fry, Legal Counsel

Xuân Fry joined the Swiss Integrative Center for Human Health (SICHH) in January 2016 as Legal Counsel. In her current function, Xuân is responsible for contract drafting and all legal matters, in particular labour law and commercial law.

She graduated from the University of Fribourg with a specialization in Business Law. During her career, Xuân also worked in the public administration and in a law firm, respectively in Fribourg and Lausanne. 

She speaks French, English, Italian, German and Vietnamese. 

She is currently doing a postgraduate degree in Health Law and has already obtained the Certificate of Advanced Studies in "Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Law" and "Patients' rights and public health".

Albora de Pablo Peña, Project & Key Account Manager

Albora joined SICHH in March 2017 as a Project and Key Account Manager. She brings over 6 years of managerial experience in the Medtech Industry.

She graduated from the EPFL in Biomedical Engineering and specialized in the development of medical devices such as hearing aids at Phonak AG and Cardiovascular implants/instruments at Carag AG, both companies located in the Zürich area.

Albora’s interests focuses on Innovation in the Human Health Technology. She holds a CAS in Innovation Management from the University of Bern and a CAS in Management of Biotech, Medtech and Pharma Ventures from the EPFL. 

Albora speaks French, Spanish, German, English and is conversant in Italian.

Besides her professional activity, Albora creates silver jewerly, enjoys instrumental concerts, is fond of urban gardening and loves backpacker travelling.

Dr. Mabel Maucci, Project Manager

Mabel joined the Swiss Integrative Center for Human Health (SICHH) in July 2015. With over 6 years of experience as project manager, Mabel has coordinated projects for both, academic and private sectors. She has been involved in R&D projects for Human Health and IT at the Swiss and European level. Mabel also brings her consultancy and training experience in the implementation of project management solutions in different business areas worldwide. Moreover, she has also worked as a program manager, providing services to the pharmaceutical industry.

With a Chemistry degree and a M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry of Polymers from the University of Havana, Mabel holds a PhD in Biophysics from the EPFL. In addition she complemented her qualifications with an IPMA project management certification.

In her current function at SICHH, Mabel works as a project manager, coordinating activities between academic and industrial partners.

Mabel is passionate about photography and human cultures.  She has organised several photography exhibitions and visited more than 65 countries. Mabel is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

Muriel Jaquet, Head of TechFacility

Après un apprentissage de laborantine en biologie obtenu à l’agroscope de Posieux, j’ai travaillé dans de nombreux laboratoires, autant académiques que privés, ce qui m’a permis d’acquérir de l’expérience avec les techniques de biologie cellulaire et moléculaire.

J’ai rejoint le SICHH le 1er août 2015 en tant que responsable de la « Tech Facility ».

Durant mes loisirs, je privilégie les activités à l’extérieur, principalement en montagne. Je suis membre d’une équipe de squash, et j’apprécie aussi les moments de lecture

Dr. Mark Ambühl, Materials Specialist

Mark Joined SICHH in 2014, focusing on biotechnology and IT solutions development.

He holds a Master (MSc) and a doctorate (PhD) from the Swiss Federal Institute of technology of Lausanne (EPFL) . His research principally focused on the analysis and modelization of the physical behaviour of individually crawling cells. Despite its fondamental nature, this phenomenon finds strong implication in the understanding of the core mechanism of cancer developpment (metastasis). He is fluent in English and French, and conversational in German and Swedish

Mark carries actually the management of various projects including the deployment of IT services and events planification. In his spare time, Mark is a benevolent gymnastic teacher and acts as a volunteer for diverse causes.

Dr. Alessandra Apicella, Materials Specialist

Alessandra joined SICHH in 2015.

Graduated in Physics, she holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (Italy). Her research mainly focused on the investigation of folding and unfolding of proteins responsible for neurodegenerative diseases, and on the interaction between molecules and surfaces mimicking different biological properties. Post-doctoral researcher for three years at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL), she was responsible for an industrial collaboration with Straumann AG (Basel) focusing on the regeneration of dental tissues affected by periodontitis.

She is fluent in Italian, English, and French and she is studying German as an important accomplishment of her profile.
Alessandra main interests are photography, art and travelling.

Dr. Ana Raduta, Materials Specialist

Ana has joined SICHH in 2016. In her current function she works as a Material Specialist focused on chemical synthesis and characterization of materials with application in Medical Technology.

She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University Politehnica of Timisoara, Romania and a PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of technology of Lausanne (EPFL). Her research aimed to provide an insight into the requirements for the design of polymer-peptide conjugates for therapy. She has good knowledge of chemistry and has experience in biological methods such as phage display and cell culture.

Ana is fluent in English, Romanian and conversational in French and Spanish. In her spare time she loves to travel, cook and craft.

Dr. Isabelle Duperret Dupanloup, Senior Specialist of Arithmetics Facility

Isabelle est arrivée au SICHH en Janvier 2017.

Elle a obtenu un PhD en génétique des populations en 1999, à l’Université de Genève. Après cela, elle a travaillé dans différentes universités en Suisse, en France et en Italie, où elle a acquis une profonde expérience en génomique, bioinformatique, évolution moléculaire, statistique et informatique.

Elle parle couramment français, anglais et italien et comprend l’allemand.

Pendant son temps libre, elle aime lire, voyager, danser et cuisiner.

Dr. Olivier Zava, Head of Health Facility

Olivier joined the SICHH in 2016.

He holds a PhD in cell and molecular biology from the University of Neuchâtel (2007) and since then occupied diverse positions in the academia and biotech and pharma companies where he participated notably in the testing of putative anticancer small molecules, the characterization of biosimilar therapeutic monoclonal antibodies and the development of microfluidic point of care diagnostic devices.

Thanks to these diverse experiences, he gained strong knowledge in cell and molecular biology, a taste for innovation, cross-fonctional interactions and a perfect understanding of their use in the pharma, biotech and food sciences.

Olivier is fluent in French and English and conversational in Italian.

His hobbies comprise running, wine tasting, travel and informatics.

Gaëtan Cherbuin, Health Facility Specialist

Gaëtan joined SICHH in 2016. In his current function he works as a Health Specialist. He is a Microbiologist who holds a Master degree (MSc) in Genomics and Experimental Biology from the University of Lausanne (UNIL). His PhD project focused on the characterization of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis proteasome and took place at the Institute of Medical Microbiology (IMM) in Zürich. Gaëtan has training in both Medical and Food Molecular Microbiology. He is also fluent in English and French. In his spare time he loves to mountain biking and tinker with electronics.

Dr. Lavinia Alberi Auber, Lead of Neurology Research

Lavinia joined SICHH in 2016. She brings more than 16 years of experience in neurology research. She has been a group leader in neuroscience at the University of Fribourg, secured significant funding and has become an authority in the field of Notch signaling in brain pathophysiology. Besides her research activity, she is a lecturer in Neuropathology at the Department of Medicine of the University of Fribourg. She is also active in the Swiss Startup Scene and has been running the >>venture>> competition 2016 for western Switzerland.

Lavinia graduated with a Master in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Trieste, She then moved to the University of Heidelberg, Germany, to pursue a PhD in Life Sciences. During her Postdoc at Johns Hopkins Medical School, she started her own line of research in the field of Notch signaling. Lavinia is now an iMBA fellow at the University of Illinois. She is fluent in English, German, Italian and is conversant in French.

Lavinia is a passionate swimmer and runner, who loves competition but also enjoys partying with friends in the beautiful ambience of Switzerland.
